MEENAKSHI MISS

 Energetic, happy, smiling, quick, and always radiating positivity.....that is my Science teacher..... Meenakshi Miss.   She would be teaching a class of 25 students....and at the same time scrutinizing each one of us...and would just call the slack one to be attentive. Sharp. There was no escaping her quick scan. She was just the right programming for a perfect teacher. Neither too slack, nor too strict. Just right...a fine balance a of friendliness and professionalism. She would strain her voice to be heard loud and clear, and suddenly drop to a soft tone, when she felt the noise by the students was rising.  The change of tone meant that we had to be quiet.  She was with us for just 2 year. Then changed to another school.  After she left we had many science teachers and sirs. But none could match her teaching skills and style. Some people simply cannot be replaced. MALATHI MISS

 Madam Malathi - the name to me is synonymous with English. Yes she was my English teacher, during my formative years from my Eighth class onwards. Till I met her, English to me was a subject;  Wherein I had to score marks to successfully go to the next class. But at some point in a student's life, we meet a teacher who becomes a motivator.... simply by their personality. The way they teach, speak, their voice, tone, diction....or the way they carry themselves, the poise, their dress sense, the simple jwellery which makes a statement..... The consistency.... It is very difficult for a student to say exactly why they were impressed. When or why a subject suddenly becomes so interesting and enchanting.  Suddenly I liked English ...more than it being a subject...it became a means of expression... I found a beauty in English.  I started reading novels, poems, and relished the Authors' phrases, and the way they deftly handled the language.  She instilled the love of ...
